Saint Martin de Porres Parish Mass Schedule

Cardinal Timothy Manning founded a new parish in Yorba Linda in August 1970, marking the beginning of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Yorba Linda, a city that had been formed in 1967, had more than 10,000 residents at that time. Yorba Linda, which was still regarded as a part of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, had been serviced by St. Joseph Catholic Church in adjacent Placentia. The location for the parish buildings on Yorba Linda Boulevard was a deserted field in a region of dry farming that locals refer to as the “barley” or “hay” fields.
