Archdiocesan Shrine of Santo Niño (Tondo Church) Mass Schedule

The Augustinians, who were the first order to arrive in the Philippines, founded the church, one of the oldest churches built by the Spanish friars in Luzon. On May 3, 1572, the provincial chapter gave its approval to the Augustinian Convent at Tondo. Lubao, Betis, and Calumpit were among its visitas. As the first Augustinian religious to lead the church, Fray Alonzo Alvarado, OSA. In 1572, the Tondo Church extended its visitas to Malolos and other northern neighborhoods. By means of Fray Diego Ordoez de Vivar, Tondo expanded its clerical jurisdiction to include Morong.
