The Parish of Our Lady of the Abandoned, also referred to as the Santa Ana Church and recently recognized as the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Abandoned (Spanish: Parroquia de Nuestra Seora de los Desamparados), is a church from the Spanish colonial era situated in the Santa Ana neighborhood of Manila, Philippines. Under Saint Anne’s protection, the Franciscan missionaries founded the parish in 1578. Father Vicente Inglés, OFM built the current stone church between 1720 and 1725 and gave it to its current patroness, the Our Lady of the Abandoned. In 1713, Valencia, Spain produced the venerated figure of its patron; it arrived in the Philippines in 1717.
