St. Augustine Metropolitan Cathedral Mass Schedule

In Cagayan de Oro City, the Philippines, there is a Roman Catholic church called Saint Augustine Metropolitan Cathedral. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro has its ecclesiastical seat in the cathedral, which is devoted to Saint Augustine, Bishop of Hippo. It is currently one of the well-known pilgrimage sites in this region. From 1607 to 1910, the area that is now the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro was a part of the Archdioceses of Cebu and Jaro. Before it was canonically erected in 1933, its governance was afterwards entrusted to the Diocese of Zamboanga from 1911 to 1933. It was once claimed that the Order of Augustinian Recollects, led by Father Agustin de San Pedro, constructed the first church building in the current Cagayan de Oro (previously Cagayan de Misamis) in 1624.
