Our Lady of Remedies Chapel Mass Schedule

After holding services at basketball courts and garages, the locals were finally able to construct their own tiny church in 1981. Following a resident’s devotion to Nuestra Seora De Los Remedios, the chapel was named in honor of Our Lady of Remedies. The erection of an image at the Malate Church in 1624 marked the beginning of the Filipino people’s devotion to this manifestation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Trinitarian Order (Order o the Most Holy Trinity and of the Captives) of Saint John Matha (1160–1213), however, prayed to the Blessed Virgin for assistance in their attempts to free Catholic slaves from Muslim raiders. This is where worship of the Lady of Remedies began.
