A 17th-century wooden representation of the Blessed Virgin Mary made by the Roman Catholic Church and revered in the Philippines is known as Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, also known as Our Lady of Antipolo and the Virgin of Antipolo. In the Sierra Madre highlands, east of Metro Manila, is Antipolo Cathedral, which houses a shrine to the Black Madonna.
