Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Parish (Barasoain Church) Mass Schedule

Malolos Bulacan’s Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish is a Roman Catholic church that was constructed in 1888. From Manila, it is only 42 kilometers away. Having earned the title as the “Cradle of Democracy in the East, the most important religious building in the Philippines”, and the site of the First Philippine Republic, the church is proverbial for its historical importance among Filipinos. When the Augustinian friars established Malolos as a separate town in 1580, Bangkál became a village governed by the town church. A hermitage made of nipa and bamboo was built for the residents of Bangkál near the river between Maluslos (Malolos población) and Barasoain for the people of Bangkál. In the same year, Malolos was established as a separate town.
